Four arrested in Mount Pleasant for possession during search of residence

The Titus County Sheriff's Office arrested four people Wednesday during a search of a residence.

Deputies including the TCSO Emergency Response Team, conducted the search int he 1600 block of Boatman Avenue in Mount Pleasant.

Gregory Jerome McCoo, 32,  Taboris Kerrelle Edney, 26,  Andre Pierre Edney, 37, and  Dekemus Charles Farrier, 30, were detained and arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Farrier is a resident of the home. The other three men were all shown to be residents in Titus County.

Narcotics investigators learned that illegal narcotics were being distributed from the residence and conducted an investigation into the activity. Upon establishing what they believed to be sufficient probable cause indicating the illegal drug activity was ongoing, an application for a search warrant was issued by the 76th, District Court Judge for a search of the premises.

A search of the residence and vehicles on the property resulted in a seizure of suspected marijuana, cocaine, and methamphetamine.

The men were booked into the Titus County Jail and await arraignment.
