Henderson County duo charged with baby testing positive for meth

HENDERSON COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office is charging two people after a 6-month-old baby tested positive for exposure to methamphetamine.

Chance Wayne Ballou, 25, of Cleveland, and Rachel Ann Waugh, 26, of Seven Points, are each charged with endangering a child. Waugh was arrested Tuesday and being held on a $25,000 bond and Ballou is serving jail time on a different charge.

According to an arrest affidavit, Ballou and Waugh are the legal guardians of the baby. All three were tested on Feb. 8. Ballou and Waugh tested positive for meth and marijuana and the baby tested positive for the same.

Deputies obtained warrants on their arrests on Feb. 27.
