Robert E. Lee To Play In Nationally Televised Game

Robert E. Lee's football team is taking on defending Ohio state champion Cincinnati Collerain High School in the first ever McDonald's Kirk Herbstreit Ohio vs. USA Challenge. The game is opening match held in Ohio on the eve of the University of Texas vs. Ohio State game where national bragging rights are on the line.

The game will take place on Friday, September 9. You can catch the re-broadcast of the game at 12:05AM right after the Red Zone right here on KLTV. That's 12:05 AM Saturday September 10th.

While the game is a regular season game it does not count toward a district championship or in the district standings. Robert E. Lee sill has its five tractional home games on its 2005 schedule. Group organizers FSM is funding all the team's travel expenses for the event including meals. Support groups will not be going because of travel costs.
