Smith County Sheriff's Office searching for suspects in vehicle thefts

SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Smith County Sheriff's Office is searching for several people suspected of vehicle theft.

Officials are searching for:

  • Jacob Spivey, 26, of Tyler, wanted for engaging in organized criminal activity
  • Frank Meadows, 41, of Smith County, wanted for engaging in organized criminal activity
  • Adam Leal, 33, of Tyler, wanted for theft of property
  • Ashley Hoag, 20, of Tyler, wanted for theft of property.

SCSO says the charges stem from an investigation into vehicles stolen out of Smith, Cherokee, Titus and Henderson counties.

The sheriff's office says Meadows is a known drug dealer in the Smith County and Tyler areas and he may be with Hoag. The office says Spivey is also aware he is wanted.

"Jacob is aware of his warrant and currently on the run from law enforcement. He is known to stay in the Bullard, TX area as well as several locations in Tyler, TX," the sheriff's office said in a social media post.
