EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - First Alert Weather Days continue through Saturday for severe storm potential.
The Storm Prediction Center has placed East Texas under a Marginal, Slight, and Enhanced risk for Saturday.
Saturday is anticipated to be an active weather day filled with strong to severe thunderstorms.
Tomorrow morning could feature a few showers and thunderstorms.
If clouds break midday Saturday, temperatures will rise quickly into the 70s. This will give fuel to the next cold front moving in and showers and thunderstorms will become likely along the cold front.
Expect a line of thunderstorms to develop by early afternoon and move east during the afternoon and evening.
Some of these storms could become strong to severe with gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy rain. Isolated tornadoes are a possibility with Saturday storms.
The First Alert Weather Team will keep you posted on any changes.
