HENDERSON COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Deputies with the Henderson County Sheriff's Office have arrested a third woman in connection with a game room bust earlier this month.
Judy Gail Palmer, 66, of Gun Barrel City, is charged with state-jail felony engaging in organized criminal activity. She was booked on the charge on Wednesday and posted a $10,000 bond Thursday.
Deputies raided the Hippy Hut Game Room, located at 10530 State Highway 31 in Malakoff on Feb. 1 following an undercover investigation into illegal gaming in the building.
At the time, deputies arrested the attendant in charge, Cheryl Norman, and the manager, Regina Jones. According to the arrest affidavit, Palmer is the owner of the business.
According to an arrest affidavit, the owner of the building said they rented the building to Palmer. On Feb. 9, an investigator contacted Palmer to see if he could talk to her about the game room but Palmer said she would not until she had a chance to talk to her attorney.
The sheriff's office obtained a warrant for Palmer's arrest on Feb. 15.
