EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - Happy Friday, East Texas! Starting off with showers and thunderstorms this morning. A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for Smith, Camp, Upshur and Wood counties until 8:15 a.m. with heavy rainfall moving north. A break in the heavy rain by midday with a few more showers possible this afternoon. Temperatures today will reach the mid-60s by afternoon. Tomorrow could see a few showers and thunderstorms in the morning. Temperatures will start out in the upper 50s and lower 60s. If clouds break midday Saturday, expect temperatures to rise quickly into the 70s. This will give fuel to the next cold front moving in and showers and thunderstorms are likely along the cold front. Some of these storms could become strong to severe with gusty winds, frequent lightning and heavy rain. Isolated tornadoes can not be ruled out with Saturday afternoon's storms. Once the cold front moves through Saturday night, skies should clear with some sunshine expected by Sunday afternoon. Monday will be nice and sunny, but clouds and chances for rain return Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
