HENDERSON COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - An East Texas Chiropractor was killed, and one person remains in critical condition after a two-vehicle wreck in Henderson County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, deputies responded Wednesday at about 10 p.m. to a two-vehicle wreck along Highway 31, at about 3.3 miles west of Winnsboro.

A preliminary report indicates that Dr. Sharn DeWet, 31, was killed after a 2002 Toyota Tundra, driven by Bunghen Sok, 27, of Athens, was traveling westbound when he traveled into the opposite lane and struck DeWet's vehicle.

DeWet was pronounced dead at the scene, by Judge James Duncan. His body was transported to Chandler Memorial Funeral Home in Chandler.

Sok was transported to ETMC-Tyler, where he remains in critical condition.

At this time, it is unknown what caused Sok's vehicle to veer into the opposite lane.

Authorities confirm both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
