EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - Good Thursday morning, East Texas! A break in the rain for many places this morning, but with dense fog developing. Give yourself extra time on the morning commute as visibility will be down to less than a mile in some areas. Cloudy and cool again today with light northerly winds and more showers and a few thundershowers. Rain could once again, be heavy at times. Temperatures today will be widespread from 40s north to 60s south. More likely chances for rain with more thunderstorms by Friday and Saturday afternoons. Temperatures will rise quickly into the 60s Friday and the 70s Saturday. A strong storm system moves in late Saturday and with ample moisture and warm temperatures ahead of the system, expect the chance for severe thunderstorms Saturday afternoon and into the evening. Once the cold front finally moves through Saturday night, clearing skies are expected for Sunday with a couple of days to dry out before more rain chances midweek next week.
