EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - Good Wednesday morning, East Texas! Grab those umbrellas, rain will continue off and on throughout the day and will be heavy at times. Today and tomorrow are First Alert Weather Days for the possibility of flash flooding with the heavy rainfall. A flash flood watch is in effect for much of East Texas through the day today. Expect the heaviest rainfall to gradually shift south slowly through the day with temperatures falling behind the slow-moving cold front. Afternoon temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s across much of East Texas. More rain tomorrow, but not quite as heavy. However, any rain that falls on the already saturated ground could cause more flooding concerns. Likely rain chances continue in the forecast right into the weekend. A few thunderstorms are possible Friday and Saturday with another cold front late Saturday evening into Sunday morning.
