TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Each year Chick-Fil-A hosts their annual soup drive for their local Salvation Army. Two Tyler Chick-Fil-A locations donated almost 6,800 bowls of soup to the Tyler Salvation Army.
Every month more than 12,000 meals are served at the Salvation Army. The annual Chick-Fil-A Soup Drive has been helping feed Tyler residents with the Salvation Army for more than a decade.
"It's a way to get the community to give back to others that are in need," owner of Tyler Chick-Fil-A Jeff Johnston said. "Our chicken noodle soup is very popular so we thought it would be a good way for the community to give back."
Over the years, Chick-Fil-A and the community have helped fill more than 40,000 bowls of soup for Tyler residents in need.
