HARRISON COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Deputies with the Harrison County Sheriff's Office have arrested a Kaufman man accused of driving 30 miles over the speed limit with a child passenger.
Patric Dalton Metcalf, 26, is charged with endangering a child and reckless driving. He was booked on the charges on Saturday and has posted a collective bond of $77,000.
According to an arrest affidavit, a deputy was on Smelley Road and talking to someone who was asking for information when a vehicle came from behind and appeared to be driving at a high speed. The deputy reported clocking the car going 72 miles per hour in a 40 mph zone.
The deputy pulled the vehicle over and said a 13-year-old boy was in the rear passenger seat.
