EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - Good Tuesday morning, East Texas! Another very mild and breezy start to the day with temperatures in the 60s and lower 70s. Mostly cloudy today with showers and a few thunderstorms, especially by late afternoon and evening. The rain will be heavy at times and will become more widespread overnight into tomorrow morning. A cold front will move very slowly through East Texas tomorrow with showers and thunderstorms off and on all day. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect beginning at 6pm this evening and lasting through 6am Thursday morning. Rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches are likely over the next 24-48 hours. A FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY is in effect for this evening and all day tomorrow due to the heavy rainfall and the potential for flooding. Temperatures today will reach the mid to upper 70s again, but will fall into the 50s tomorrow with the slow-moving cold front. Rain continues to be likely, but not as heavy through the end of the week with temperatures quickly warming back into the 60s and 70s. Another cold front is expected this weekend.
