Longview police are investigating a domestic disturbance which ended in the shooting death of a man, and life-threatening injuries for his spouse.

Police were called around 7 p.m. Thursday to 103 W. Loop 281 to a parking lot close to Planet Beach Tan. Officers arrived to find Kenneth Jack Jordon, 54, of Longview, dead from a gunshot wound inside of a car at the location. They also found his wife Diana Jordon in the front seat, also suffering from a gunshot wound.

Diana Jordon was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. She was still undergoing treatment as of Friday morning.

Police have not commented on the circumstances they believe may have led to the shooting, or who may be responsible.

According to a Gregg County justice of the peace, Kenneth Jordan was arrested Jan. 28 for driving while intoxicated, criminal mischief and unlawfully carrying a weapon. The JP says Jordan was allegedly harassing his wife, who had filed for divorce against him.
