2 arrested after allegedly shooting out of moving vehicle in Longview

Longview police say that two men were arrested on Wednesday after witnesses reported shots fired from their vehicle.

Longview police say they responded after calls were received by 911 dispatchers by residents who reported hearing the sound of gunfire, as well as by witnesses who reported seeing someone shooting a gun from inside a moving vehicle. The report came from the area of Scenic and Fairway. A description of the vehicle was given to police.

The vehicle was spotted by officers and pulled over on Waggoner Street. Police arrested Jadyn Stinson, 18, for unlawful carrying of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance less than 200 grams, and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

Also arrested was Gavin Jawayne Stinson, 20. He was charged with Possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, possession of a controlled substance less than 200 grams, Assault, and two previous warrants for driving without a license and failure to maintain financial responsibility.
