TYLER, TX (KLTV) - All Saints Episcopal School in Tyler is celebrating The Great Kindness Challenge this week.
On Wednesday, All Saints students made the shape of a huge heart in the school's gymnasium. Around 250 students participated in the challenge. The event took place at 8:45 a.m. on Valentine's Day.
According to their website, The Great Kindness Challenge is a proactive and positive bullying prevention initiative that improves school climate and increases student engagement. It lasts for one week and is devoted to performing as many acts of kindness as possible on campus. Using the provided checklist of 50 kind acts, students accept the challenge and show the world that kindness matters.
The Great Kindness Act says that over 10 million students participated in 2017 and over 500 million acts of kindness were done in more than 90 different countries.
