Love triangle road-rage incident leads to Jacksonville woman’s arrest

JACKSONVILLE, TX (KLTV) - Jacksonville police have arrested a woman who they say was involved in a forced collision with another woman who was dating the same man she was.

Laportia Lasha Pleasant, 26, of Jacksonville, is charged with four counts of second-degree endangering a child. She was arrested on the charge Feb., 8 and posted a collective bond of $10,000 on Friday, Feb.,9.

According to the police report, Pleasant was involved in a disturbance involving two other women, one of which was in a relationship with the same man she was. The report states Pleasant was in a vehicle with four children and twice collided with the other vehicle on Friday around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Bonner Street and Earl Street.

The report states one of the collisions involved Pleasant chasing the other vehicle in reverse and hitting the vehicle.

Police responded to the incident and arrested Pleasant.
