MARSHALL, TEXAS (KLTV)  Marshall police say a man is facing several charges for his alleged role in a shooting.

On Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at approximately 1:00 p.m., officers with the Marshall Police Department say they responded to the 1600 block of E. Houston Street near Maulding Street, where a shooting was reported.

Preliminary reports suggest that 27-year-old Brian Davis fired several shots at a vehicle that was traveling on E. Houston Street. Davis then fled the scene on foot. No one inside the vehicle was injured, according to officers.

Davis was apprehended by responding officers a short time later on E. Bowie Street near Merzbacher Street, police say, and the firearm Davis used during the commission of the crime, which had been reported as stolen, was recovered by Marshall Police’s K9 Unit.

Davis was booked into the Harrison County Jail where he is charged with 2 counts of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and Theft of a Firearm. The shooting remains under investigation.
