SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - DPS reports that on Sunday around 12:35 a.m. troopers responded to the two-vehicle fatal crash that occurred on SH-110, 8 miles west of the city of Lindale.
A 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche driven by Gilberto Gomez, 26, of Saginaw was traveling south on SH-110, crossed over the double yellow lines into the northbound lane where it struck a 2005 Toyota Camry driven by Jaewoong Jang, 34, of Lindale.
Both vehicles were burned in the crash.
Jang and his female passenger Mikyung Ji, 29, of Lindale, were pronounced dead at the scene by Judge Cowart. Their bodies were transported to Candle Rutledge Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale.
Judge Cowart confirmed that Ji's unborn baby was also killed in the wreck.
Gomez was transported to ETMC-Tyler in stable condition. A passenger in his vehicle was pronounced dead by Judge Cowart, the body was transported to Candle Rutledge Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale. The passenger has not been identified at this time.
The crash remains under investigation.
