HENDERSON COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Three Henderson County men were arrested in two separate traffic stops Thursday.
Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse said Roderick Young, 47, of Athens was arrested during a traffic stop when deputies found 35 white rocks, believed to be crack cocaine in his possession. A large amount of cash was also discovered during the stop, according to Hillhouse.
Hillhouse said, investigators, received information leading them to believe Young was selling drugs in Henderson County.
Another man was arrested during a traffic stop in Gun Barrel City.
Deputies arrested Matthew Risler, 31, after they found a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine, a digital scale and several empty plastic baggies commonly used to distribute meth in his vehicle, according to Hillhouse.
Sheriff Hillhouse said Michael Box, 37, was arrested for hindering the apprehension of Risler. Box was already wanted on an outstanding warrant for a parole violation.
