Fugitive Turns Himself In, Faces 8 Charges

A wanted man on the run from Smith County authorities has turned himself in.

Bodrick Damond Ryder, 21, led state troopers on a car and foot chase yesterday, when they tried to pull him over for speeding.

One trooper fired a shot at Ryder, but did not hit him. According to a DPS spokesperson, the trooper says Ryder lunged at her.

Today, Ryder faces eight charges in all, including burglary, evading arrest, and driving without a license.
