Longview Man Arrested On Second Shooting Charge

For the second time in less than a month, a Longview man is arrested for a shooting incident.  Twenty-two-year-old Henry Michael Afotey was taken into custody last night and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Police say on August 6th, Afotey shot a man over a gambling debt. The victim was taken to the hospital with wounds to the arm and head, non-life-threatening.

Afotey bonded out of jail seven days earlier. On July 13th, he was arrested for shooting a Longview woman in the hip over a similar gambling debt. He remains in the Gregg County Jail on $10,000 dollars bond.
