The husband-and-wife suspects in Tuesday's courthouse escape in Tennessee face an extradition hearing this morning in Columbus, Ohio.
George and Jennifer Hyatte gave up without a struggle Wednesday night after being surrounded by law officers who tracked them to a Columbus motel.
They're both wanted on charges of first-degree murder.
Authorities in Kingston, Tennessee, say Mrs. Hyatte freed her husband from custody Tuesday by shooting and killing one of the guards taking him out of the courthouse there. They had met in prison where she was a nurse.
Her mother Sally Lambson in Salt Lake City describes her as a good kid who never got into trouble but had a "gullibility for men."
