SCSO searching for prosthetic leg stolen in vehicle burglary

SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

The Smith County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a missing prosthetic leg that was stolen in a vehicle burglary.

On Nov. 18, around 3 p.m. an unknown suspect entered the victim's truck and stole their prosthetic leg.

According to the Smith County Sheriff's Office, it was a left leg, with a hydraulic ankle, and a blue coupling with white letters showing "JT LIONS" on it. The foot is a size 13 and had no shoe on it at the time it was stolen.

A craftsman toolbox, a T-Post driver and a come a long were also stolen from the bed of the truck, according to officials.
