Officials Have Suspicions About Fire's Cause

An apartment building is engulfed in flames while residents are sleeping.

The fire started just before 3 this morning at Chelsea Creek Apartments in Tyler.

Investigators say it appears the fire started in the attic. They don't know the cause, but they're looking closely at the A/C and heating units nearby. They don't suspect foul play.

No one was injured in the fire. But one firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion.

Fire officials say damage to the apartments is estimated at $750,000.
