ANDERSON COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - An East Texas woman, suspected of an Anderson County stabbing, has been arrested.
According to the Anderson County sheriff's office, Ashley Nichole Whiteside, 25, was arrested for the Nov.16 stabbing of Brandi Davis.
Officials say investigator Andrea Karriker was contacted in regards to the stabbing. When Investigator Karriker arrived at the Palestine Regional Medical Center, she was met by Nathan Bell who said his girlfriend, Davis, had been stabbed by Whiteside.
Bell told investigator Karriker he and Davis were heading home when they saw Whiteside on FM 1817. Bell added that Davis told him to stop the car and confronted Whiteside. The altercation between both women became physical and resulted in Davis being stabbed three times.
When Karriker met with Davis, Davis said she was unaware she had been stabbed until she was back in the vehicle. Davis told Karriker Bell transported her to the hospital when she began having breathing difficulties. Once in the hospital, it was discovered that Davis suffered several internal injuries.
A warrant was later obtained for Whiteside for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Whiteside was arrested two days after the stabbing incident.
She remains in the Anderson County jail, under a $100,000 bond.
