Search Continues For Missing East Texas Mother

Law enforcement needs your help to find a missing East Texas mother.

Thirty-six-year-old Loretta Moreland of Laneville in Rusk County, has been missing since Saturday morning.

Her family said she was expected at a funeral and a birthday party later that day and she never showed up.

Loretta is the mother of a 13-year-old son. Her family said it is not like her to disappear without calling.

Authorities said her disappearance is suspicious, but they have no immediate signs of foul play.

Her family just wants her home.

"(There's) nobody she contacted on either side of the family," said her step-grandfather Andrew Carter. "What we really want to know, is she living or dead? Or we want to know just where she's at. If she could just contact us."

"It's been just a lot of worrying a lot of restless nights," said her husband, Joseph Moreland. "We're just worried you know? We don't know where she's at."

Loretta Moreland's car is also missing. She drives a 1996, Ford Explorer. It's dark blue with license plate P59 VHN.

Anyone who believes they may have seen Loretta Moreland is asked to contact the Rusk County Sheriff's Department at (903) 657-3581.
