Verdict Reached In Rusk Speeding Trial

A verdict is reached in a high profile trial in Henderson.  Between 8:30 and 9:00 Saturday night, the jury handed down its decision, finding David Reid guilty of two counts of manslaughter.  He was also found guilty of two counts of street racing.  The 20-year-old was involved in a crash that killed four girls near Tatum in 2003.

The prosecution rested its case late Friday against Reid.  Saturday morning, the defense began its case.

Over the last days of the trial, the parents of the victims delivered emotional testimony, tearfully remembering the events of that September night.

Reid faces between two to 20 years in prison for each manslaughter count.
