NASA Confirms Successful Collision With Comet

Scientists at NASA confirmed that the "Deep Impact" space probe had a successful rendevous with a comet half the size of Manhattan.

At around 1 o'clock this morning, the probe made contact with the comet, known as Temple 1.

Scientists hope the collision will help give them a better understanding of how the universe was formed.

The 6-month, 330-million dollar project, reportedly had an impact equal to five tons of T-N-T.
