The delicious tableside guacamole made by On the Border in Longview is a customer favorite, and with good reason. It's fresh and handmade just before you eat it. Josh Kile, manager of the Longview restaurant, shows us how to make it! The amounts are customizable to your own liking, and you can add or leave out what you prefer. Perfect for Cinco de Mayo or any day!
2-3 ripe avocados, room temperature, halved, and pit discarded
Fresh tomatoes, chopped
red onions, chopped
Scoop the avocado flesh out of the shell using a soup spoon. Scrape well.
Squeeze the lime over avocado, and sprinkle with salt.
Smash the avocado with a fork, breaking up well.
Add diced tomato,minced jalapenos, finely chopped red onions, and chopped cilantro, if using.
Using fork and soup spoon, fold the fresh ingredients into the avocado.
