Better Business Bureau Warns Online Shoppers

Big items at low prices, claiming to be offered to you by the Better Business Bureau.
But an alert issued by the company says it's all a fraud.

The BBB said online sellers have been posting items like cars, jet skis and motorcycles on online shopping sites, under the Better Business Bureau's name and logo.

The fake sales have been posted on sites like Ebay and

Officials said the culprits stole their logo and they never deal with selling items to anyone.

"Unfortunately there have been some victims in our country that have forwarded big bucks and of course they never get anything for it," said Kay Robinson with the BBB. "Then the web site goes down automatically."

Kay said because the sites shutdown after they receive an order it makes it difficult to track the culprit.

Her advice is to call the Better Business Bureau if you question the authenticity of any web site claiming to use their name or logo.
