Chick-Fil-A Employee Wins Top Scholarship

A Tyler Chick-Fil-A employee has won the restaurant chain's top scholarship.

Matt Hillary got his $1,000 prize this afternoon, in addition to a $1,000 scholarship Chick-Fil-A awarded him last year. He's one of 25 employees nationwide to win the top award.

Matt is a freshman computer engineering major at Texas A&M University and has been working for Chick-Fil-A for three years. Last year, he graduated as salutatorian of Whitehouse High School, where he juggled school, work, and athletics.

"It wasn't too hard. In soccer season, it was a little bit more because I still tried to work a lot while playing soccer and doing school," Matt said. "But it wasn't too bad."

Matt was selected from more than 44,000 Chick-Fil-A employees across the country.
