EAST TEXAS (KLTV) -

The Red Cross has set up shelters and damage assessment centers to help those affected by Saturday's storms.

As shelters and other services become available, they will be added to this story.

A canteen has been set up at Canton High School, the disaster staging area. More canteens are en route from the Dallas area to serve first responders and those conducting search and rescue efforts.

The Red Cross has set up shelters and provided meals to those affected by Saturday's storms; they are as follows:

In Canton: First Methodist Church Life Center, 600 S. Buffalo, Canton.

In Emory:  Emory City Center, 735 Texas Street North, Emory, TX  75440

Eustace: Eustace High School, 318 FM 316 South

Volunteers will begin damage assessment Monday as it is safe to do so. The Red Cross said they will also put trucks out Monday into the affected areas to distribute bulk items such as water, clean up supplies and tarps.

These storms have been widespread and have impacted many rural communities.  The Red Cross said in a statement,  "we are making every effort to reach out to those affected, we realize we may not know yet where all storm victims are.  We encourage everyone affected by last night’s storms to contact us at 866-505-4801."

At this time, the American Red Cross has the supplies it needs. Anyone wishing to make a monetary donation may do so at redcross.org or by calling 1-800-REDCROSS.

The Red Cross has also set up a website to help people who are looking for loved ones or if you want to let loved ones know you are safe and well. Click here to see the website
