EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - Good Wednesday morning, East Texas! It feels a bit cooler out there this morning thanks to the winds. The cold front is pushing through and winds are picking up, gusting to 20-25 mph. Gusts this afternoon could reach 30-35 mph at times. A Lake Wind Advisory is in effect through 7 p.m.
Other than the wind, today looks mostly sunny. Overnight storms have moved out of the area and skies are clearing behind the cold front. Temperatures this afternoon will only reach the lower 70s and some places could stay in the 60s.
Expect chilly temperatures tomorrow morning as we drop into the 40s. Winds calm overnight tonight and the end of the week looks like a Goldilocks forecast - not too hot, not too cold, just right! Sunny for your Thursday and Friday with highs in the mid-70s and light winds.
Warmer and becoming breezy again by the weekend. High temperatures Saturday and Sunday will be in the lower 80s. Our next chance for rain returns early next week with showers and storms possible Monday and Tuesday.
