Search Resumes Today For Missing Scout In Utah

The search will resume this morning for an eleven-year-old boy missing since Friday night.

Brennan Hawkins was last seen near a climbing wall at a camping area in the High Uinta Mountains. About three thousand volunteers spent yesterday searching the area, some of them on horseback or riding A-T-Vs. Hawkins' mother says her son, a Boy Scout, must have gotten separated from a friend. She notes Brennan doesn't have a "great sense of direction."

Hawkins was last seen late Friday, struggling with some climbing gear as his friend went off walking down a dirt road toward the family's nearby campsite. Authorities aren't concerned about exposure but say a branch of the Bear River, which runs nearby, has a swift current.
