ARLINGTON, TX (KLTV) -

It has been an up and down spring so far for the Rangers, but on the bright side, Yu Darvish is looking sharp. The right-hander took the mound on Monday night against the Giants and struck out six batters in just over three innings of work.

Darvish needed almost 30 pitches in the first inning and allowed a run despite striking out the side. The three-time all star though then settled in, and fooled hitters with his slider and curveball.

The Japanese star talked with reporters after the game and says he is getting close to midseason form.
