DALLAS, TX (KLTV) - There were some rumors this offseason that DeMarcus Ware might return to the Cowboys and finish his career where it started. But, that will not be happening. The outside linebacker and defense end has announced he is retiring after 12 seasons in the NFL.
Ware has spent the last three years in Denver where he helped the Broncos win Super Bowl 50. A nine-time Pro Bowler and former first round pick, Ware played for the Cowboys from 2005 to 2013 and retires as the franchise's all time leader in sacks. In all, Ware is hanging it up with nearly 140 sacks to his credit, which is good for eighth in NFL history.
