Sports WebXtra: ESPN reporting Cowboys now expecting to trade Tony Romo

ESPN report: Cowboys now hoping to trade Romo. ESPN report: Cowboys now hoping to trade Romo.
DALLAS, TX (KLTV) -

Houston trading quarterback Brock Osweiler to the Browns is the biggest news on the first day of the new NFL league year. But Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo either being released or traded could be coming soon as well. By dealing Osweiler, the Texans are clearing nearly $10 million in cap space.

According to NFL.com, with the cap room now to sign Romo as a free agent, Houston will not be trading for him. The hope out of Dallas for owner Jerry Jones though is to find a team to trade for Romo. This is a developing story and will be changed once more information becomes available.
