Two Texas Teams Headed To College World Series

Texas, Rice and Baylor all entered the day one win away from earning a berth in the college world series in Omaha, Nebraska.

Baylor kicked things off this afternoon.  The Bears' Kevin Sevigny hit a bases loaded double in the fourth to break open a tied ballgame.  The Bears never looked back, beating Clemson 6-1 to earn their third berth in the college world series.

Rice was next with a shot.  They were well on their way until Tulane scored 7 runs over the final two innings to beat the Owls 9-6 and earn their second world series berth.

Texas capped off the day on a high note.  The Longhorns broke three ties in the game to beat Mississippi 6-4 and earn their 32nd trip to the World Series.  Texas and Baylor face off in Omaha on Saturday.
