If you think you have a great cholesterol level, think again. A more advanced cholesterol test is available in East Texas that can give you an in-depth look at your cholesterol level. This new test, looks at all 11 levels of cholesterol you have.
It just requires a simple blood test, but the results are sent to the University of California at Berkeley. There, a machine can identify all levels of good and bad cholesterol.
"It breaks the good down into five factions of which four are really not that good and it breaks the bad into seven of which four are not too bad," says Dr. Earl.
Dr. Gene Earl says the test will help doctors better diagnosis people with bad cholesterol and prevent heart attacks. For more information, contact your doctor.
