ARLINGTON, TX (KLTV) - Longtime ranger Colby Lewis has said goodbye to the organization. The 37 year-old released a statement on Tuesday thanking Texas and its fans as pitchers and catchers reported to spring training in Surprise, Arizona.
Lewis is still a free agent and turned down offers from the Rangers on a minor league contract. The right-hander has spent nine of his 11 seasons with the Rangers going 77-72 with a 4.70 ERA. Lewis was 4-1 with a 3.11 ERA in 10 postseason starts.
