BROWNSBORO, TX (KLTV) -

Throughout basketball season, stars on our respective teams get most the of recognition and all players certainly have their names called on game day.

The bi-district round of the playoffs in girls hoops wrapped up, and playoff spots were on the line in regular season finales on the boys side.

Yet, all of that takes a back seat to a unique night in Brownsboro.

With a third straight district title wrapped up, the Bears were hosting Emory Rains. A win meant Brownsboro would run the table and go a perfect 10-0 in league play. While that task was accomplished, it has nothing to do with why the moment was amazing.

Longtime manager Bryan Sanders suited up in uniform on senior night. Head coach Brent Smith put Sanders, who has special needs, in the starting line-up and then magic happened.

Just moments in, Sanders sunk the first two points of his high school career. And then later, the sharp re-entered the game to finish with 8 points on the night!
