Intoxication Manslaughter Case

An East Texas man involved in a head-on collision a year an a half ago, was in court today facing charges of intoxicated manslaughter. On February 13th 2004, William Everett Bumgarner was accused of hitting the truck of 48-year-old Jackie Wane Herring. Herring died at the scene.

During testimony today, jurors learned blood tests showed Bumgarner had traces of cocaine in his system. The trial will continue tomorrow.
