First Day Of Deliberations For Jackson Jury

The jury in the Michael Jackson trial has begun its first full day of deliberations this noon. But even as they get to work, questions hang over one of the jurors. Meanwhile, the singer's father, Joe Jackson, showed up unexpectedly at court and was mobbed by reporters as he arrived at the courthouse.

With nearly 700 pieces of evidence to examine -- and ten criminal counts against Jackson to consider -- a quick verdict appears unlikely.

The wait seems to be taking its toll on the pop star. Jackson arrived at a hospital Sunday and spent six hours receiving treatment for dehydration and a bad back. It was his second confirmed hospital visit in less than a week.

Jackson's spokesperson, Raymone Bain, said, "This is a very, ah, difficult time for him, but other than his back, he is doing fine."
