ARLINGTON, TX (KLTV) - The Rangers have signed Josh Hamilton to a minor league contract and the 35 year-old has an invitation to spring training. The 2010 American League MVP has played in just 50 games the last two years, and missed the entire 2016 after having surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee.
Hamilton will try and make the Rangers roster after being released by the club on August of last year. The five-time All-Star will likely play some first base for Texas as well as be the DH.
