Sports WebXtra: College football national championship preview

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - For the second straight year, Clemson and Alabama are meeting in the national championship game Monday night. While it is a rematch, a lot of things are different from a year ago when the Crimson Tide won 45 to 40.

16 players from that title game were drafted, half of Alabama head coach Nick Saban's staff has changed, and the Crimson Tide are now led by freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts from Channelview, Texas.

Hurts, who is a finalist for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, is trying to become the first rue freshman QB to win a national title since 1985. Saban meanwhile is gunning for his sixth national championship.

One thing that is the same from last season, Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson is still leading the Tigers. Last year he threw for over 400 yards and four touchdowns against the Alabama. The big question, can Watson do it again and this time come out with a victory?
