HOUSTON, TX (KLTV) -

History will be made in Saturday's AFC wild card game between Oakland and Houston. With both Derek Carr and Matt McGloin injured, Connor Cook will get the start at quarterback for the Raiders. Cook will become the first rookie QB in the Super Bowl era to have his first career start come in the playoffs.

Cook made his NFL debut last week against the Broncos where he threw for 150 yards and a touchdown, but the Michigan State product also had two turnovers.

Oakland beat the Texans during the regular season 27 to 20, so despite facing a third string quarterback, Houston knows the Raiders have plenty of weapons on offense.
