Pittsburg Child Hailed As Hero

The "Hall" family of Pittsburg is happy to have their littlest member, two year old "Alysa", alive and well, thanks to the efforts of their oldest daughter.

"Shes a hero to me , I love her and I'm so thankful she was here" said father Andy Hall.

Last Saturday the family was having a cookout by the pool when 9 year old "Alexa" knew something was wrong.

"I saw something floating and I thought it was her laying on her back, and I looked to see what was going on here, and looked and it was my other sister" says Alexa.

In a matter of seconds, while dad was tending the grill and mom was tending another daughter, little Alysa had fallen into one end of the pool, her sister saw her body floating and rushed to the rescue.

"Jumped in and got her and pulled her to the side" said Alexa.

"She looked like she was dead she was purple to the point where she looked grey" Andy says.

"If she hadn't have gotten her out when she did we may not have been able to bring her back and she saved our family" says mother Stacy Hall.

Alexa called 9-1-1, while dad performed CPR. It took him several minutes to revive Alysa.  But it wouldn't have been possible had it not been for Alexa's quick action.

"Hold your kids and love them every minute you got them, I'm just proud that she jumped in there and got her" says Andy.

After being check out by a doctor , amazingly Alysa suffered no ill effects from the incident.
