Army Specialist Scott Sauceda of Hughes Springs is on his way back to Iraq. He had the opportunity to have two weeks off with his family, just in time for Mother's Day.
Tuesday morning, Scott and his family were on their way to airport in Shreveport. They made a quick stop in Marshall to speak with us. Scott has been in Iraq since December of last year. His family says it was wonderful to have this time with him.
"Just seeing him and being able to hold him and kiss him that was the best Mother's Day," says Scott's mother Tony.
"When I saw my sons, that touched me. I hadn't seen them in several months. With them being so young, and to remember me, that really felt good," says Scott.
Scott will be in Iraq until December when his duty with the Army officially ends. He says he plans to return to Hughes Springs when he gets out.
