The U.S Marshal Service arrested a suspect in a Tyler cab driver robbery.

On Wednesday, law enforcement authorities arrested Johnnie Michael Cole, Jr., 17 in Caddo Parish, Louisiana, on an outstanding warrant for aggravated robbery that occurred in Tyler.

Around 4:20 a.m. Oct. 2, Tyler Police responded to the intersection of Front Street and Beckham Avenue after reports of an aggravated robbery of a cab driver.

The Tyler Cab driver told police that he was robbed at gunpoint by three black male suspects.

According to police, the driver said that one suspect got into the cab, giving the two suspects a chance to approach the driver and order him out of the vehicle at gunpoint. The suspects stole the driver’s wallet and cash, then fled on foot, according to police.

Tyler police say Cole was one of three suspects that robbed the taxi driver at gunpoint.

Investigators are still looking into the identity of the two other suspects who are involved.
